You'd better tell us what you actually put in there.
I didn't put anything in there, it is exactly as it comes with the
Tyrell Mac installer. All I did was change the port numbers so that
the instances don't conflict.
Each of those sites has a domain name waiting to be attached
to them.
Install the VHM in your Zope root, if you haven't already done
so. If you don't know what that is, search in
plone.org/documentation
Per site:
Create an Apache VirtualHost for every site.
Put on one line:
RewriteRule ^/(.*)
http://hostname-of-server:port-of-zope/VirtualHostBase/http/
www.domain.com:80/plone-site-id/VirtualHos
tRoot/$1 [P]
