I am in the last couple of weeks of building a large Plone portal for a charity, the old site was Zope and had lots of documents (a couple of hundred minimum) I need to transfer to Plone.
Here is the Problem , I can transfer them of course Via webdav, even strip the old coding from them two hundred at a time using a mass editor technique I thought up HOWEVER I can not get Plone to stop changing the non-ascii charchters to ? IE ä Ö å are turned into ? and because of the site contributers this means hundreds of documents that are useless.
I can transfer to Zope root and there fine but as soon as I copy them into the Plone portal the charcters change.
It is not mxtidy as I edited the config file to utf8 from raw and even disabled it , Kupu shouldnt be doing it as far as I can tell (uninstalled it to check) and I made sure the extra languages where added to the site just incase.
I can write templates, code CSS in my sleep and have no real problems with the rest of Plone as i have been doing this project for months but this is driving me up the wall....
