Hello!

I'm configuring plone/zope/etc and I am running into a choice that I am
not sure how to make. Let me describe my situation. I have a server
with 4 IPs. I have two different domain names associated with two of
the IPs, for example 192.168.1.1 is testweb.com and 192.168.1.2 is
testweb2.com.

I need Plone to function solely in SSL for each of these hosts. I need
to keep port 80 free for a static web page that I'll be using to
redirect to the SSL plone site. Additionally, I've installed the
default install of plone, which installs a Zeo cluster, which I'd like
to use. Further, due to the fact that this site will have high traffic
requirements, I think that Squid would be smart to implement.

I've considered setting it up the following ways:

Pound -> Squid -> Pound -> ZEO
Apache -> Squid -> Pound -> ZEO

Does this make any sense? I read about but have been unable to find
more detailed reference to the fact that caching can be performed in
zope, meaning I might be able to just use Pound -> ZEO.

Performance is an issue for me as I will have many, many hits on an SSL
site on a server that is performing several other functions as well.
Can anyone recommend suggested method for configuring a ZEO cluster for
the highest performance with SSL? What additional products can I/should
I install to further increase performance?

Thank you (and sorry about the long post)!

Nolan
