I'm having some trouble installing Plone on OSX, mostly down to my own
stupidity, nevertheless I'd appreciate some help. I'd downloaded both the
Intel and PPC installers as I was initially going to install Plone on my G4
server, and then decided to install it on my MacBook as I'd like to play
with it when I'm away this weekend. However, I managed to install the PPC
version on my MacBook by accident. The installer got stuck while finishing
(unsurprisingly), so I force quit and went to install the Intel version. It
wouldn't let me do so initially so I deleted the PPC Plone files and tried
again, however it still won't work.

The installer will let me install the startup module however it maintains
that Plone is already installed and it won't let me do so again. I've looked
for an uninstall option but haven't found one, however I checked what the
installer creates and have deleted everything - Plone, Plone startup, and
the Plone user in NetInfo. Still no dice.

Would building from source help? I'd like to try and avoid doing this as
although I'm not afraid of bash, I'm not a *nix guy and I've never built
anything from scratch before. Also, as I said, I'd ideally like to have a
play with this at the weekend when I'm travelling so a solution involving
the OSX binary would be preferable. If there's no quick fix however, it's
not urgent. Thanks!
