I am currently trying to upgrade a Plone 2.5.3 install to Plone 3.0 on a Windows box.
I have read the Plone upgrade guide (http://plone.org/documentation/manual/upgrade-guide) and specifically the section for 2.5.3 to 3.0 which basically refers to the general procedure in said upgrade guide. However, it seems to me that these procedures are mostly applicable to a Linux install. I have read other forum posts that seem to imply that the Windows installer should "take care of things for you," but I'm not exactly sure what that means. I downloaded the 3.0 Windows executable and tried to install over my 2.5.3 version, but things weren't happy afterwards. Specifically, I wasn't able to access my Plone root from the ZMI root anymore (it said it was broken) to get to portal_migrations per the upgrade guide. Is there something else I have to do to get the Windows installer to "take care of things" for me? Any guidance would be most appreciated, thanks! - Stephen -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Plone-3.0-upgrade-in-Windows-tf4512892s15482.html#a12871825 Sent from the Installation, Setup, Upgrades mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Setup mailing list [email protected] http://lists.plone.org/mailman/listinfo/setup
