What 3rd-party plugins (if any) were you using before? Are they
definitely compatible with later versions of Plone?
Have you thoroughly read this? :

The problem most likely lies in a customisation you have, or 3rd-party
product incompatibility.
Also for clues, look at event.log for warnings, before the actual error.
