Rui, thank you! I think I've solved the problem. The followings are the procedures.
I first copied /opt/Plone-3.1/zinstance/bin/zopectl to /etc/init.d/. Next, I installed "sysv-rc-conf" on my ubuntu because ubuntu doesn't have "chkconfig". Last, I did the following. # sysv-rc-conf --level 016 zopectl off # sysv-rc-conf --level 2345 zopectl on # sysv-rc-conf --list rfernandes wrote: > > Hi > > I don't use ubuntu but you can check this documentation page > https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuBootupHowto on "Installing custom > init-scripts" section. > > good luck, > Rui > > > ieyasu wrote: >> >> Hi, >> >> I'm using Ubuntu 8.04. >> >> (1) I downloaded Plone-3.1.2-UnifiedInstaller >> (2) I did "./install.sh standalone", which was successful. >> (3) Then, I did "/opt/Plone-3.1/zinstance/bin/instance start", which was >> also successful. >> >> But when I boot PC, it seems neither Zope or Plone starts... >> I have to "instance start" manually again... >> >> Should I do something other than (1)-(3) in order for Plone to start >> everytime my PC restarts? >> >> >> > > -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/UnifiedInstaller%3A-not-automatically-start-after-boot-of-PC-tp17716593s15482p17863472.html Sent from the Installation, Setup, Upgrades mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Setup mailing list [email protected] http://lists.plone.org/mailman/listinfo/setup
