Thanks for your reply. I realize I could have used XP, but a license was not wasted because it is licensed through MSDNAA and was set up for me by another staff member anyways.
I downloaded the python-ldap installer, but it says Python 2.4 could not be found, although it is installed (2.4.4 according to the python console.) I don't know why it doesn't see it. It is the Python that installs with Plone. I'll read through the other link you gave me and see if that helps. Also, is there a way to edit the settings of the 'ActiveDirectory Multi Plugin' without deleting what I have and creating a new one? johnfugazi wrote: > > you have installed it on Windows 2008. you could just install it on WinXP > (waste of a server license). > > did you download the binary for python-ldap? make sure the version is for > python2.4 that is what zope is built-on. i looked around for awhile and > found this link: > http://www.agescibs.org/mauro/python-ldap-2.0.6.win32-py2.4.exe. > > when you install PloneLDAP, make sure and test your connection by doing a > search under "users" tab. you should see a list of users. if not, it > might be the "Manager DN" authentication. is your LDAP info correct (User > Base DN)? use a ldap browser for correct info (basic config is: cn=users, > dc=domain, dc=com). you might have OUs, so it will be different. > > check this link out. > http://plone.org/documentation/how-to/single-sign-on-with-active-directory. > although it is for Debian, it should point out things for you. no > explanations, but everyone should look things up and figure them out for > themselves. > -- View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/Trouble-authenticating-with-Active-Directory-tp2228547p2232893.html Sent from the Installation, Setup, Upgrades mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ Setup mailing list [email protected] http://lists.plone.org/mailman/listinfo/setup
