Actually, this problem persists after successful installing Python 2.4.
Maybe conflict w/ University wireless login ?
(Impulse point safe connect installer)

Duh, seems I found me problem,
I'm using Python Python 2.5.2 (r252:60911, Feb 21 2008, 13:11:45)
