Hi Tim,

I think I got it to work. I can now see users and groups and I can login as
admin and an LDAP user. The installation went fine. I first installed
OpenLDAP, then Plone and I adjusted the buildout.cfg according to your
settings. After I ran the buildout plone comes up and I see the LDAP Support
unknown in the Add-on Products. Installed without problems.

I used your instruction to fill in the details of the LDAP connection. I did
have to change some things to get it to work. I did see the groups but was
unable to login as a user. Here's what I did differently from your
instructions.
- In the Global settings tab my LDAP object classes are: top, person
- After filling out the LDAP Global settings tab I had to add a property in
the LDAP Schema tab. Property: sAMAccountName, sAMAccountName,
sAMAccountName
- After adding the sAMAccountName property I went back to the Global
settings tab and changed the login name attribute to sAMAccountName.
- In the ZMI I went to Plone > acl_users and deleted the
credentials_cookie_auth
- In the ZMI I went to Plone and added Cookie_Crumbler with ID:
credentials_cookie_auth
- In the ZMI I went to Plone > acl_users > ldap and selected authentication
and moved ldap to the top of the list.
- In the ZMI I went to Plone > acl_users > ldap > acl_users, ticked the
Read-only box and applied the changes.

Don't know if I did everthing as it should but it seems to work fine. Will
have to do some more tests to be sure but for now it seems OK.

Any comments to what I have done?

Kind regards,

Diego
