I have fixed my issue by copying the plone-3.3.5-py2.4.egg\Products\CMFPlone\extensions directory into my plone-3.3.5-py2.4.egg\Products\CMFPlone directory
Though I'm not sure why the extensions folder was not present in the CMFPlone folder to begin with. Was this deprecated?
