I recently tried to migrate a Plone 2.5 installation to Plone 4. I first updated it to Plone 3.3.5 and the migration seems to go well. Then I updated the Data.fs in Plone 3.3.5 to Plone 4. After running portal migration, I found out later that I could not add new content to the site. When I try to add content I get the add content interface but when I save, the browser seems to be stuck trying to POST the content. There are no error messages and the browser just times out.
The Data.fs that I earlier migrated to Plone 3.3.5 did not exhibit the problem. I could easily add content. It seems that the problem occurred during the 3.3.5 migration to Plone 4. The permissions on Data.fs is seems to be normal. It is owned by user plone and has permissions rw-r--r--. Any ideas on what is the problem and how to debug it? Thanks. Holden
