Hi all

I am new to Plone (absolutely no Phyton or other programming experience) and
have a scenario where I have two identical (of course Servername and IP is
different) Servers (Windows). As standard one of these Servers is reachable
from the www (as configured be DNS and Firewall). Installed is Plone 3.3.5
and the Page is defined by using a Mountpoint.

For Times of Maintenance I want to stop (block) login for known users (Users
in the ACL), export the Page, import it to the Fallback-Server and configure
the Firewall to route to the Fallback-Server instead of the Main-Server.
After Maintening and if needed Rebooting the "Main-Server" (e.g. by doing MS
Updates) i want to return to the original Firewallsetting to route back to
the Main-Server and give the login free.

During this time it should be impossible to change things on the Page,
making uploads, ... I think the best way to be 100% sure of this is to block
the login for the acl-users.

Of Course the People must be informed about the blocked login, so it might
be helpful to have also a rerouting to a Message instead of the loginpage
during this time. (Of course I will also send informations by Mail to the
Users some days before, but you know users can forget those informations...)

Is there a possibility to deny login to the Users of the Page so that the
Main-Admin can still login to check pagesettings? Maybe is it possible by
creating a group and defining that all members are denied the login and
rerouted to an information page? Which of the Thousends of Securitysettings
has than to be activated for this group?

Any information will be helpful.

Tnx

Mathias
