<<It's so funny. The "Grunge" era (Pearl Jam in this case) is just like disco. It's
was so "cool" to hate disco in the early and mid-eighties. Now it's"cool" to hate (or
be ashamed of liking...) grunge.>>
I think it's also cool to hate rock these days or anything with a guitar that doesn't
involve lip syncing on stage and writing your own music. I've met hardly any people
outside of concerts that like rock, even though they deny liking rock when it was the
thing a few years ago. Now the "cool" city is Orlando or something and most people
have forgotten about Seattle.
Most people my age are worried about being cool, that's why there's so many more one
hit wonders now than there were 5 years ago. But seriously, I think there's a
difference of being ashamed of listening to no doubt (cause you thought they were
really actually talented, not cause they were big ) as opposed to being embarassed
about listening to Pearl Jam or Soundgarden, cause they know how to play at least. I
just don't like them much,
>> has anyone else seen "kurt and courtney?"
