Hei Peppe, as I note: yes you can use your approach - but I wonder if it really suited to what you do... So I would rather use the points as input and apply an interpolation method [my opinion after reading about this lately]. Otherwise I am sure there is a GRASS function that generates DEMs out of contour lines directly [similar to the ANUDEM function]. Actually - how about doing both and then comparing the results?
