Hi Veena, To run the demo I tried Carbon master branch (0.6.0). I must admit that it does not work always, sometimes you need to deploy a couple of times until it works. I don’t exactly know why but perhaps is because the master branch of Carbon is currently very unstable. That’s why Brady suggested Yi Yang to cherry pick the commits to Boron branch.

VM is created with vhu port, but it does not get the IP. In the cirros VM log, I see "sending dicover" 3 times and then it proceeds without getting IP. Is the snapshot I'm using doesn't support DPDK? Should I use some other distribution? or any configurataion needed to get this working? Here are the ovs flows that are created when the VM is launched http://paste.openstack.org/show/589786/ ovs flows after ping failure http://paste.openstack.org/show/589787/ br-int detailsroot@mv:~# ovs-vsctl show f59de3f8-5a03-44d4-b590-0b48dc0f4ee1 Manager "tcp:10.162.103.188:6640<http://10.162.103.188:6640>" is_connected: true Bridge dpdk Port dpdk Interface dpdk type: internal Port "dpdk0" Interface "dpdk0" type: dpdk Bridge br-int Controller "tcp:10.162.103.188:6653<http://10.162.103.188:6653>" is_connected: true fail_mode: secure Port br-int Interface br-int type: internal Port "tapa4d106f9-81" Interface "tapa4d106f9-81" type: internal Port "vhu84b6984d-cc" Interface "vhu84b6984d-cc" type: dpdkvhostuser Please suggest me how to solve this issue. I'm not trying SFC104 demo, but trying to get SFC on devstack(mitaka) installation. Thanks, -Veena
