Ahmed,

It is definitely possible for ODL to control the networking of an OpenStack
deployment, if running on a Controller node. But, what you're proposing is a
chicken-and-egg problem: In order for the VM to be up with connectivity and to
be running ODL, it needs to have networking configured already, which would
have happened from OpenStack Neutron. Im pretty sure its not possible for ODL
(or any controller) to "take over" the networking from OpenStack once its
started.

Regards,

Brady

Subject: [sfc-dev] Deploying Opendaylight SFC on a predeployed Openstack
Date: Thu, 6 Apr 2017 12:30:03 +0200

Hi all,

I would like to know if it is possible to deploy ODL SFC in a VM over openstack
(packstack deployment) and let control the networking of openstack. If yes, How
that can be configured ?

Thanks,
Best regards,
Ahmed
