Hello,
The SFC code is now frozen for the Oxygen release. Refer to the M4
milestone report [0] for details.
That means from now on, the only changes allowed will be for BUG (JIRA)
fixes. If you need to fix a BUG for the SFC Oxygen release, please first
create a JIRA, send an email to the sfc-dev list with the JIRA link and
justification why it needs to be fixed in Oxygen. Also, when submitting
patches for BUG fixes, Include JIRA XXX in the title, where XXXX is the
JIRA number, and Gerrit will automatically create a link for it.
The main features included in this release are the following:
1. Directional DataPlaneLocators (also called Bump-in-the-wire Service
Functions) [1]
2. Rendered Service Path Statistics [2]
3. Config datastore Rendered Service Paths (RSPs). [3]
- RSPs are now first created in the Config data store
- Service Function Path creation triggers RSP creation in the config
data store
- RSP creation in config datastore triggers RSP creation in
operational datastore
- Now, when ODL restarts, the RSPs will be in configuration data
store at restart and can easily be recreated in operational.
