Hi Brady & All, Just to update you that I tested OVS2.6 with Oxygen and OVS2.10.1 with Fluorine. Since the tutorial scripts listed here (https://docs.opendaylight.org/en/stable-oxygen/user-guide/service-function-chaining.html ) require running mininet I installed mininet and then upgraded OVS from v2.5.5 to v2.6 and v.2.10.1 respectively. After running the tutorial scripts for NSH configuration, the rendering results on the SFF switches seemed to reflect the required outcome. Few notes worth mentioning: 1. When configuring ODL command line with the required features, the sequence that worked for me was > feature:install odl-sfc-provider-rest odl-sfc-scf-openflow odl-sfc-openflow-renderer odl-sfc-ui (the last feature was omitted from Fluorine…). For some reason the sequence proposed by Brady on a previous email on this thread failed with an error of unknown “odl-sfc-scf-openflow”…. 2. The installation of OVC as noted here (https://wiki.opendaylight.org/view/Service_Function_Chaining:Main ) for Fluorine (i.e. v2.9) failed to work….so after removing the default OVS that came with mininet, I just downloaded the latest version (v2.10.1) from here (http://www.openvswitch.org/download/) and then followed the steps from here (http://docs.openvswitch.org/en/latest/intro/install/general/#obtaining-open-vswitch-sources ) starting from the “Configuring” section. 3. The installation of OVS 2.6 as explained in [2] above is missing the part starting from “Configuring” (as was done for v2.10.1).
I’d like to thank Brady and the team on the call for their support and guidance. Thanks, Yoav Cohen.
