I did find that you could use the back space key to erase a shortcut
setting. But it still, _probably_ should allow you to use alt and cntl
combinations. I was able to enter cntl+t or alt+t, and it would say the
appropriate thing, but it would actually save "t', which was sort of a
pain since it's hard to type w/o "T"s.
