Hi,

We never tested on powerpc architecture. My guess would be that there are non 
compatible big-endian bit manipulation inside codecs, especially g711.
 
You may want to test with other codecs (speex).

Codec implementation can be found in 

sflphone/sflphone-common/src/audio/codecs

My experience as well (basically unusable). It's a while since I tried
it, but I think is was the case regardless of pulse / alsa etc.
