Hello,
I use ver. 1.0.2 - it is OK.
Few months ago I have try new ver 1.2, but there was problems with
PulseAudio: the sound is is sputtering with outages.
- setting noise/echo cancel makes it rather worse
- using ALSA brakes down usability of PulseAudio
- it is ONLY ONLY ONLY in sflphone, not in network, SIP provider, ...
There are same conditions like when using ver 1.0.2.
Now I have try newest 1.2.2 version, but it is still the same. I do not
know what You have changed in 1.2.x (sound (or net?) things) - but it is
broken.
And another problems:
- try SIP provider odorik.cz (free registration) - sflphone v 1.2.2 is
not able to hold registration. It send many many REG packets and even if
it get proper OK, sends again. And after some 10 seconds goes the
registration down (before it happens ("not registered") is it possible
to make calls). Again - v 1.0.2 works.
Try it itself and test.
General NAT problem (all versions):
- normal account have STUN set possibility - OK - why not. But most SIP
providers use simple technique (transparent RTP proxy), which do not
need STUN. So in most/all cases is it not necessary.
and vice versa (?!?):
- the "IP" account do not have STUN possibility. But for direct calls it
is absolutely MANDATORY behind NAT.
I hope You will solve the problem. I would like to use sflphone even
after upgrade.
