Hello Luis,

SFLphone 1.3.0 have support for the G729 codec. However, due to
licencing issues, we can't distribute our software with the codec
enabled by default. Please note that G729 require a licence. I am
sure you can sort that out yourself. The G729 codec can be found here:

http://www.linphone.org/technical-corner/bcg729/overview

Ubuntu package is available here:

https://launchpad.net/~linphone/+archive/ubuntu/release/+files/libbcg729-0-dbg_0.0.0%7Egit20120218%2B1-1%7Eoneiric%7Eppa1_amd64.deb
https://launchpad.net/~linphone/+archive/ubuntu/release/+files/libbcg729-0-dbg_0.0.0%7Egit20120218%2B1-1%7Eoneiric%7Eppa1_i386.deb

Make sure to select the right one (32bit = i386, 64bit = amd64). Please
also note that I havn't tested those packages on Ubuntu 12.04. You may
have to compile your own.

Please note that the latest SFLphone available on 12.04 is 1.3.0. If you
have an older version, please upgrade from:

https://launchpad.net/~savoirfairelinux/+archive/ubuntu/ppa

Please also note that the current version of SFLphone is 1.4.1, available
in Ubuntu 14.04+.

Thanks for your interest in our software,
Emmanuel
