Hi,
sorry totally newbie in Linux and SIP but this is what happened: I am running an old Linksys SPA9000 with an Linksys 941 SIP phone with excellent quality. No problem at all. The SPA9000 can accept up to 16 clients.
I installed Ubuntu Mate 14.10 on a fresh harddrive on an old Asus B202 EeePC.
I also installed SFLphone 1.4.1 and managed to successfully connect to the PBX. Calls can go out and can be received.
I tried several CODECs and also different headsets (USB and direct analog).
Swapping ALSA vs Pulseaudio also didn't help.
On the softphone I can hear the other partner only with a massive delay and echo.
the other way the connection is slightly better.
I tried alternative clients on iphone, windows PC etc and they all worked well.
I also tried a second PC to eliminate a hardware issue, no change.
Swapping network from wireless to wired didn't make a difference.
Any suggestions where I should look or how I could provide more information?
There should be something like an option to log the connection for "debugging"?
Thanks for any hint you can give.
Kind regards,
Jens
