Fox,
Is there a way to launch seamless apps from Windows via a command
prompt in Linux? I do not want to make the user login to the web
interface first.
Once you have connected to http://<servername>/sgd there is a
component delivered to the client system call the tcc. (Tarantella
Client Component)
On linux you can find it in ~/.tarantella/tcc/<ver>/ttatcc.
This can be run from the command line with parameters.
Mandatory Parameters:
-loginurl: the page you want to load into the browser
-server: the name of the SGD server
-port: the listening port on the server (typically, 3144, 5307 or 443)
-startimmediate: the command that tells the TCC to launch the browser
Other Parameters:
-secure: mandatory when using TSP
-firewalltraversal: mandatory when using firewall traversal mode.
Examples
1. To get to a non-secure webtop via the login box
ttatcc -loginurl http://offaly.tarantella.com/sgd/thin.jsp -server
offaly.tarantella.com -port 3144 -startimmediate
2. To get to intrauk webtop (TSP + firewall-forwarding)
ttatcc -loginurl https://intrauk.tarantella.com/sgd/thin.jsp - server
intrauk.tarantella.com -port 443 -startimmediate -secure -
firewalltraversal
3. To launch an application automatically (NB: password exposed, not
secure!)
ttatcc -loginurl https://intrauk.tarantella.com/sgd/launcher.jsp?
o=xclock&u=myusername&p=mypassword -server intrauk.tarantella.com -
port 443 -startimmediate -secure -firewalltraversal
