Hello all,

I managed to get SGD to print to a PostScripter connected to my client (MacOSX). I now connected a HP DeskJet 880C to this machien and made it the default printer.

In /opt/tarantella/etc/data/printertypes.txt in the sections Unix und Macintosh I replaced PostScript=* with PCL=*.

[WindowsXP]
PostScript=pscript5.dll
PCL=unidrv.dll
PostScript=*

[Unix]
PCL=*

[Macintosh]
Text=LaserWriter 300/LS
PCL=*

In /opt/tarantella/etc/data/default.printerinfo.txt I have

"_Default" = "HP DeskJet 880C" PCL

When initiating a print operation I get the following logged to /opt/tarantella/var/log/print.log.

2006/10/28 21:10:23 Secure Global Desktop print job ahoesch-2281 for user [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2006/10/28 21:10:26 Print conversion: data-format=POSTSCRIPT printer-type=POSTSCRIPT passthru=0

This does not seem to be correct. Which piece inthi spuzzle is responsible for convertingthe PostScript to PCL? The deskjet atleast does nothing. When I make the PostScrip-Printer the default again, it immediately starts to work again, so I guess all my chnages (PostScript -> PCL) have absolutel yno effect. What am I missig?

Thanks a lot!

Regards,

  Andreas
