Mr. MM Reddy ..

I believe our tested against LDAP compliant servers are the Sun One  Directory Server and MS AD. Your email seems a bit generic/vague in that you say "a product which serves as an authentication server". I take it that it neither of the 2 I mentioned?

Thanks..
Curtis.

M M Reddy,

I am part of ISV Engineering, (APAC) India . Can anyone give help in resolving one ISV's problem. We have received a query from one of our ISVs i.e. "Data Security Systems Solutions, Singapore" about "LDAP Authentication with SSGD version 4.3". The ISV has a product which serves as an authentication server and want to configure SSGD to authenticate against their authentication server. Currently, when they do this, the authentication fails, because their LDAP interface doesn't fully emulate the LDAP protocol, but only expects a BIND call.

Can you please let us know what exactly SGD expects after the BIND call. what is the search expecting to receive and the exact information on what the LDAP is supposed return ?.

The second call is doing a Lookup to get the user's details.
This is used to map a user in the directory to a user as known by SGD.

Andy
