Sorry for the late reply.
SGD Printing is one of my weak side, not very familiar with it.
Let me explain more about my setup.
1) Solaris Application Server( SGD server )
--------------------------------------------
- App: Firefox
- App: Mozilla
- App: StarOffice
Note: The above application server is also my SGD server thats why i did
not install SGD Printer queue( prtinstall.en.sh ), install by default.||
2) MS 2003 Application Server
--------------------------------
- App: TS Full Desktop
- App: MS Word
- App: MS Excel
- App: MS Powerpoint
Note: MS 2003 app server was configured based on "Printing From a
Microsoft Windows 2000 or 2003 Application Server".
3) SGD Client( SR170 )
-----------------------
User: ali
Applications assigned to him: TS Full Desktop, MS Word, MS Powerpoint,
Firefox, Mozilla and StarOffice.
Note:
1) Client device is SunRay 170
2) OS: Solaris 10 08/07
3) Client side printer is Brother HL-8050( Default ) & HP_LaserJ_4100
These are the testing and the outcome:
1) From SR170, i launch MS Word and typed some words. When i click
print, i saw "_Default", "PDF Printer" and "PDF Viewer" printers. So i
can choose the printer to print and successfully print.
2) From SR170, launch Mozilla. Click print, i saw "PostScript/default",
"PostScript/tta_pdfprinter" and "PostScript/tta_printer" and can print out.
3) From SR170, launch Firefox. Click print, i only saw
"PostScript/default" and it can print to my client default printer.
Question: I can't see the pdf printer and pdf viewer which i can see at
Mozilla browser ? Why ?
4) From SR170, launch StarOffice swriter, click print, i saw "Generic
Printer" and "_Default" printers and i can print to my client default
printer.
Question: Same here, i can't see pdf printer and pdf viewer, Why ?
Remark: I will post more questions about printing but for now, i need to
solve the above issues.
Hope the expert can direct me.

Dear SGD Users,
I have added StarOffice and Microsoft Office applications in my SGD
webtop portal.
Say if i launch MS Office Word and type any words then when i choose
print and i can choose PDF Printer or PDF Viewer. The same when i
launched and type any words in StarOffice7, click print and choose the
printer but i cannot find PDF Printer or Viewer. The only printer i can
see in StarOffice is "Generic Printer" and _default printer.
Please take note:
1) MS Office installed in my TS server( w2003 server )
2) StarOffice7 pre-installed in my SGD 4.4 server( Solaris 10 08/07)
Do i have to configure anything in StarOffice to be able to see the PDF
printers? Thanks.
