Dear all,
because of CEntOS upgrade I compiled a new sog 1.8.9. My old gridengine
SOG is a self cgroup patched 1.8.4 and is still running in the new OS,
but with some problems. I will switch to the new SOG version in the
following way:
stop and clean running jobs and queues
copy the old project to the new one
change SGE variables to the new environment
stop the old qmaster and exec daemons
shutdown the nodes
install new qmaster daemon
prepare the new exec daemon for the (diskless) nodes
Start new qmaster and start nodes.
Could you give me advice if this procedure is suitable or not?
