Snapshots for each arch are replaced with new ones every few days, so
it's always wise to state the date when the snapshot you are running was
made (e.g. from your dmesg).

Reasonably recent snapshots are "4.7-current" so if you install the
4.7 release next month, you would be *DOWN_GRADING* your system.
Considering the volume of new commits to the sgi port since
"4.7-release" was rolled up weeks ago, you probably want to keep
running snapshots.

As for ported software, Jasper said -current packages for sgi should be
ready in a few days:
