McCain proposes 9/11 commission to address financial crisis John McCain this morning called for a commission modeled on the government's in-depth investigation of the 9/11 terrorist attack to probe what prompted the financial crisis now gripping Wall St and sending shockwaves through the market.
Appearing on CBS's "The Early Show," McCain faulted the "greed, excess, corruption" of financial executives. "We need to set up a 9/11 Commission in order to get to the bottom of this and get it fixed and act to clean up this corruption," he said.
