John Talbott, author of Obamanomics: How Bottom-Up Economic Prosperity Will 
Replace Trickle-Down Economics (Seven Stories Press), talked about his book at 
Borders in New York City. Obamanoics examines Barack Obama's proposed economic 
policies and assesses whether they will work. In his remarks, Mr. Talbott 
talked about the economic situation that the next President will inherit, read 
part of the introduction of his book, and responded to questions from the 
audience.
John Talbott is a visiting scholar at UCLA's Anderson School of Management and 
a former investment banker for Goldman Sachs. He is the author of five books on 
economics and politics, including The Coming Crash in the Housing Market, 
published in 2003.
