Conservative Party Leader David Cameron accused Prime Minister Gordon Brown
of creating a control state, specifically by enacting policies that decrease
the privacy of the individual. Mr. Cameron said if he became the next prime
minister, he would make the government more transparent by increasing access
to government data. He also talked about the recent members' expense scandal
in the House of Commons. Following his speech he took questions from the
audience.
