Robert Knake talked about the dispute between Google and China, and he 
responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. Google announced 
that it would stop censoring its Web results in China, and threatened to 
exit the market altogether. This followed Google's announcement that it and 
other companies had been hit by cyber-attacks that originated in China, and 
that hackers in China had stolen corporate secrets from its computer system. 
The U.S. government announced on Friday that it will file a formal complaint 
against China, as pressure grew on other companies to reevaluate their 
business dealings in China.
