CONVERSATIONS WITH THOMAS PAINE

04 February 2010

We all basically love our country and are patriots to its ideals. We want to
make our country better and seek political and financial justice for all of our
citizens. I believe this is true for the right, the left and the middle
political philosophies. Our conflicts are caused by different opinions of how
we get there. I also believe that most of us will agree that the ideals and
dreams of our founding fathers have been tarnished by our push to become the
richest and most powerful nation on earth.

Thomas Paine, author of Common Sense and The Age of Reason was probably the
most forward thinking and ahead-of-his-time founding father whose ideals and
thoughts are most appropriate for today. Two of our recent weekly radio
programs deal with Thomas Paine’s thoughts on governments and religions. If you
have high speed internet you can listen to these programs on our web site:
www.poetswest.com under Poets West Radio Programs until the middle of next
week.

Thomas Paine Parts I & II are conversations with Thomas Paine. All of Thomas
Paine’s quotes come directly from his writings. Yours truly plays the part of
Thomas Paine and the narrator for Common Sense is Pieter Zilinsky and for The
Age of Reason is Thomas Hubbard, both two well-known Northwest Poets.

My Best,
