Municipalities and countries can protect their local environments by successfully ending corporate rights to personhood. For example, Blaine County, Pennsylvania declared a "Home Rule Municipal Charter" that denied corporations of the rights to destroy ecosystems by stripping corporations of constitutional rights. Ecuador did it, people in Maine did it. And now people in Spokane are following suit. Margil's stories about towns and countries protecting their water, air and land from corporate predations are truly inspiring.
