Karen Ignagni talked about the insurance industry's view of health care
legislation and how the industry may be affected by the health care debate
in Congress. She talked about the growing costs of health care in 2009 and
congress not wanting to address the costs of health care in their
legislation; the republican senator's growing opposition to the health
legislation's likely requirement that all Americans must have health
insurance; and Ms. Ignagni's sense that the health insurance industry was
being vilified by the Obama Administration after a White House meeting with
insurance executives this week. After she left, the reporters talked about
her responses with the host.
