You only need configure servers this way. That would be machines that
either
1. Need to be at the same IP address all the time
or
2. Need to be available by "name" to other clients.
In a typical arrangement this would at worst be
1 - Http server
2 - FTP server
3 - SMTP server
Perhaps an SHTTP server, mayhaps several other "special" services, but all
in all not too many...
