Also the errors seem to be related to one of the nic's. SIOCSIFADDR refers
to the ip address of the device. SIOCSIFNETMASK is the subnet mask for that
device. SIOCSIFBRDADDR is the broadcast address for your subnet.
In other words, I cann't find the nic you are talking about.

Please help! I am trying to install my new STN using a DSL modem. I
installed two SMC ISA cards to my 486 PC. Then I configured and created the
STN bootdisk. When booting the stn pc found the eth0 NIC and gave this error
messages;

SIOCSIFNETMASK: No such device
SIOCSIFBRDADDR: No such device
SIOCADDRT: No such device
SIOCADDRT: Network is unreachable

My question is;
1. What does this error message trying to tell me? Is this something to do
with my NIC cards?
2. Wild question, do I need a cross cable between DSL modem & STN?
