Ok,

Here's at least PART of the scoop. (cavaet: I am still working on this
- and I will post what I find. However IT IS WORKING!)

1. You cannot use two Intel EtherExpress pro cards together. I think
this is a bug in the driver.

2. You have to select the "RFC-1541" check-box after you select DHCP on
the outbound side. (This is because Charter uses some gawdawful DHCP
server that is slow as s**t.)

3. I entered a "host name" (I don't know if that is necessary)

4. It does not always work. About 45+% of the time - the initial
attempt to get a DHCP assignment when STN is initially started up fails.
 If it fails:
  (a) and you have had both the cable modem and the STN box off for any
length of time - you have to re-initialize the modem. While the STN box
is still live, unplug the modem, count to five, and plug it back in.
When the modem reboots it re-learns the STN box outbound NIC's MAC
address. Then reset the STN box.

  (b) and you have NOT powered them both down receintly, (or you just
powered down the STN box, but NOT the modem), hit the reset button. The
2nd time usually does it.
