I've got STN working on IRC through my cable modem in Windows.  Using mIRC in windows, I can see the ident request and the server sees my my Winbox ident response and everything works.  This is AFTER entering a ipportfw command in the manual startup section of STN.  Without that addition, the IRC server never gets the ident response from my system.  Seems that port 113 request never make it to the Winbox.  I thought that the STN box was suppose to take care of these ident request BY ITSELF seeing that it is running oidentd (active).

The problem comes in when I attempt to fire up IRC in Linux.  It seems that my system is not seeing the ident request because the IRC server is not getting the response and keeps telling me that I need to install identd.  I have even gone as far as to reinstall, and upgrade, the oidentd on the Linux box and ensure that in the /etc/servers.conf and /etc/initd.conf (this second may be wrong, I can't remember what the files name was) have the correct ident lines in them.  I have two linux boxes running on my home LAN going through STN and neither of them work on IRC but both work fine when booted in windows on IRC.

Since I've only been using linux for a couple months now, there's got to be something I'm missing here.  Any ideas?
