Can anyone suggest a succinct, to the point, step by step description of
how to configure things to enable a mail server. My setup is
ADSL
STN
192.168.0.xxx internal network
STN has DNS enabled, only local machine entries
Have SuSE linux 5.3 (and 6.0 - will be upgrading if necessary) set up for a
WWW, FTP and, hopefully, Mail server. Sendmail is running on this box.
Have a 2nd Linux box, and 3 Win NT boxes as well, if that will help,
although I am not too keen on using them for this - all on network.
I have been getting up on all the how-to's, have the DNS and BIND book,
etc. I really don't have time to wade through the O'Reilly Sendmail
bible. I just want to enable some email for my wife and kids as a learning
experience. Over time, I will learn all the details. I'm just looking
for some instructions, pointers, etc.
