Hi,
I use STN as an internal Firewall on a LAN, so it sits between a 100Mb
switched network and a 10Mb collision domain.
Stress tests gave me throughputs of up to 4Mb/sec. That's about the
practical speed of a 10Mb network anyway so no complaints there. Actualy
most of the competition don't come
anywhere near that kind of performance. I'm realy eager to see how
it performs between 2 100Mb switched networks. I'll let you know soon.
BTW my STN specs:
Compaq EP Celeron 300Mhz 64 Mb
2 x 10/100 Intel EtherExpress PRO 100+
Your sincerely,

Hi Jan,Something is wrong with your STN box. I've done stress testing on a 486/25
8M with two eight dollar NE2000's and was able to push 470 k/sec over my
local network.Which brings up an interesting point, can anyone else share their
experiences with STN's performance, especially with fast cable modems?Regards,
