I realize that STN is not intended to support NetBEUI. I am in a situation
where my ISP (@home, of course) has forced me to utilize two IP addresses on
different subnets. One is a direct connection to the cable modem (I finally
got sick of configuring and re-re-reconfiguring STN for the various game
servers I occasionally, and frequently unsuccessfully, try to run). Problem
is that since NetBEUI can't cross a router, I need to create a bridge
between the two subnets, for NetBEUI only, since I will not enable file and
printer sharing on IPX or TCP/IP. I don't have room in the server for
another NIC to support the second subnet and cannot set up yet another box.
I hope to eventually get STN to boot from hard disk on my STN server. If
Linux supports NetBEUI also, it seems to be at least possible to create a
NetBEUI bridge between the two NICs on the STN server. Is this completely
out of the question or at least reasonably possible to implement?
Thanks for any help and suggestions.
Cheers,
Bob Jackson
