Linux is completely foreign to me but I was still able to create a Linux
boot diskette and turn my old 486DX2-66 into a 56K modem router. I have a
few questions that I could not find answered in the FAQ or the archived
messages.

1- Is there an 'owner's manual for this software? By looking at the
archive messages I found that I could access other screens using ALT-F2 and
ALT-F8. Don't know what to do there.

2- Right now I am using a modem to get to the internet. STN isn't
recognizing "NO DIAL TONE" and just sits when I 'accidentally' forget to
plug in the modem. Is STN smart enough to handle busy signals, dropped
connections?

I read in the archives that after 5 minutes the modem is supposed to hang
up. Does this mean that STN dials on demand when requests for the internet
come back? I couldn't find this out anywhere (again, is there a user's
manual?)

3- In about 2-3 weeks, I'll have ADSL installed. Any problems using STN
tied to an ADSL modem 24 hours a day? Is my internal network secure from
outside eyes using STN?

4- Concerning the $70.00 reg fee, will this unlock code work on future
releases?

Thanks for any info.

Dave
