My cable modem uses a phone line for the uplink (to the net) and the
cable line for traffic comming from the web. This type of cable modem is
usually called a "1-way". If the modem doesn't see any traffic at all
for 20 minutes, it hangs up the phone line. Thus, the next time I surf
or check email - I have to wait for the modem to dial out and connect.

Does STN have a feature to keep the connection live? I'm sure I could
find a shareware hack somewhere, but it would be nice if the package did
this for you. I'm sure this would also be appreciated by those
conventional modem users.

Thanks,
...steve...
