Hi Lawrence,

1) Not sure.  You need to take a look at the SOCKS5 RFC or
other such document to see what ports it uses.  If you can
dig up a doc or web site, I'll take a look and see if it's
possible.

2) I took a look at doing this once, but didn't see much of
a point.  Is there an app that you want to use that works
with SOCKS but not with STN?
