Bryan,
The base address refers to the NIC's base
address. I use an Ether 16 in my box, it is an ISA card and
you either must run the setup floppy to probe which IRQ and base
address the card is set at or look at the properties of the card in
windows. Also, make sure that you do a "full format" of
the diskette prior to building it.
