I use Sharity to mount PCs on my Maya rendering network.
I run Sharity on an SGI, IRIX 6.5.4
The PCs are Windows2000.
Sharity is version 2.4 beta 8
When rendering to a directory on the PC, while the image is being written, which might
take up to 20 minutes per frame, there is a function in the image viewer for Maya that
lets you open an image which
isn't complete yet.
Then, to refresh the viewing of the image, you hit the u (update) key.
I used to be able to use this feature, but if I try it now, my renders will crash
saying they couldn't write data to the file.
I'm guessing since I upgraded Sharity, that there is some file locking going on when I
view the image, and the next attempt for the PC to write to it, causes it to crash.
It there a setting I can change to prevent this locking?
Thanks for any help.
