I was not able to coax Mono into compiling the mini Kernel/korlib that Chriss had set up to support strings -- the compiler just crashed (without -nostdlib). So, I instead spent some time to get our in-repo big corlib compiling. Now that that's done, here's the list of stuff needed to be done before mono users (me) can get korlib into the kernel:
- implement dead method/type elimination in the AOT - merge Chriss' System.String code conditionally - update build file to handle building korlib as well as corlib. I figured I'd throw this note up here so that there's some evidence of my plan... I can't wait to be free of Kernel.String... -- fury long name: William Lahti handle :: fury freenode :: xfury blog :: http://xfurious.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
